Road Mechanic

We are seeking a mobile construction and industrial equipment mechanic to service various types of heavy lifting equipment at various customer sites in and around the Butler area. This position will require the ideal candidate to work remotely at customer locations with limited supervision so the ability to work, think and operate independently is a must. Employee will be provided with a company service van and cell phone. Prior mechanical and technical experience on large mobile equipment preferred.
Operate and inspect heavy lift equipment (diesel, electric or LP fueled) to diagnose technical problems
Determine required repairs
Maintain equipment service records
Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks on-site at customers' locations
Test mechanical equipment after repair or assembly to guarantee proper performance and compliance with the manufacturers' specifications
Hydraulic experience necessary
Diesel experience necessary
Strong electrical aptitude necessary
Must have clean, safe driving record
Must have own hand tools up to 3/4-inch
Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and physical exam.
