About this job

The ideal candidate will work on a Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Close Air Support System (CASS), further developing its capabilities through new requirements and change requests provided by the customer. The position will require a thorough understanding of the development lifecycle for a software system. The candidate will prepare user stories, decompose customer requirements, develop design documents and specifications, and validate designs proposed by software engineers. The candidate will also be involved in verification testing of the end product, ensuring adherence to approved design and requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering. 5+ years experience in Systems Engineering.

Military Tactical Data Link familiarity or expertise: Link 16, VMF, MIL-STD-188-220, MIL-STD-2045-47001, etc.

Networking experience (TCP/IP, UDP).

Experience testing RF communications (UHF, VHF, SatCom, etc.).

Experience with test tools such as VMF Test Tool, AMPGUI, Network Monitor, and IDM Workbench.

Integration experience with radios and terminals (PRC-117F, PRC-117G, PRC-148, PRC-150, LVT-2) Must be comfortable developing use cases, hierarchy diagrams, state diagrams, and activity diagrams. Enterprise Architect experience is desired.

Must be able to develop system and software requirements.

Must be able to develop robust test procedures, as well as executing those same test procedures.

Must be able to develop comprehensive test plans and test reports that align with provided templates.

Experience testing software on or with target hardware as part of integration efforts Experience writing System/Subsystem Design Documents (SSDD) and Interface Control Documents (ICD).
