General Summary:Responsible for reviewing current internal and external quality indicators and ensuring quality of parts provided by suppliers ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to accountabilities below):Strive continually for improvements and excellence in all facets of the business Ensure the resolution of production related issues between areas Monitor and review current internal and external quality indicators and drive continuous improvement in an automotive environment Plan for and ensure the quality of supplied parts through collaborative partnerships within the company and with suppliers Perform activities related to successful completion of Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) Prepare detailed plans, reports, and schedules for the Quality Department Work well with cross functional teams Strive for customer satisfaction by assuring quality of supplier parts Implement and enforce all policies and standards The above typical duties are characteristic of this job and demonstrate a level of difficulty and are not intended to list or limit the duties that may be required or assigned to a team member in this classification. QUALIFICATIONS and JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Competencies):Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in the supplier quality field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong self-responsibility, planning, and organizational skills Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required Ability to travel domestically and internationally Analytical problem solving and effective decision-making skills Ability to perform multi-tasks with multiple priorities within a designated time frame Broad understanding and application of the automotive industry standards Ability to understand and meet diverse backgrounds of customers needs and global business Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions Reasonable accommodations may be made to those who are able to perform the essential duties of the job.Experience working with word processor, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications and/or software Possess technical skills and knowledge of quality control systems in a fast paced manufacturing environment Understand Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
