Job Summary to include but not limited to:
• Vetting ships through established procedure
• Nominating approved vessels to shippers and receivers
• Communicating with agents and brokers to obtain proper documentation and solve operational issues
• Maintain proper documentation for all voyages (vessel certificates, nominations, pre-stowage plans, etc.)
• Create bill of ladings and gain owner approval before releasing to receivers
• Audit owner invoices and pay freight invoices as stipulated in the charter party
• Communicate necessary information to customs for cargo clearance
• Narrow laydays to owners and shippers
• Monitor voyages to ensure owners arrive within laydays and communicate to proper parties
• Updated integrated marine software with current forecasted pricing for all voyages
• Send arrivals reports to receivers
Additional details: Word – beginner Excel – Intermediate Integrated marine software (IMOS) – will provide training Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Pay Rate for this position is $17.50
Duration: 6 months (may extend longer)
