About this job

Sets up forms for pre pour inspections including, but not limited to grinding forms, removing excess concrete, and cleaning forms as directed. Installs the correct size spacers, chairs, knockouts, block outs, mesh, rebar, etc. in the appropriate locations of the form based on the shop drawings and the direction of the supervisor. Bolts up forms utilizing hand and/or power tools together to ensure a quality pour. Pour wet cast concrete into form from a mixer bucket, ensures reinforcing steel/rebar is set correctly and does not shift from the correct locations. Utilizes a vibrator/stinger to settle concrete in the form. Finishes concrete by utilizing trowels and/or other related concrete tools to ensure concrete is set for the desired quality control standards. After concrete has cured, strips concrete from forms and prepares products with place inserts, connectors, lifting pins/devices, etc. per shop drawings in preparation for post pour inspection. Cleans work area by sweeping excess concrete debris, rock, dirt, steel etc. to ensure work area is safe from slips, trips, and falls. Shovels excess debris into a container and/or bins for the safe and proper disposal of material. Maintains an organized area where tool and materials are easily accessible and in a safe location. Understands and follows all safety policies and outlined company procedures. Identifies potential hazard concerns and reports to Production Supervisor for immediate review and repair. Must wear all required PPE (safety hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe shoes, and ear plugs/ear muffs.
