Job DescriptionJob Title: Controls Engineer Summary: Develops and evaluates the design, build and troubleshooting of electrical control system solutions for industrial equipment and automation products by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for troubleshooting equipment and validating the control systems to ensure reliability in operating environments. Write documentation and system specifications toward fulfilling the scope of work set forth by the program manager. Develop technical scope of work documents and estimate time and resources needed for the controls aspect of projects. Machine commissioning: program start-up, debug and install of automation systems. Proficient with AutoCAD 2-D for use in electrical design. Use various software/programming systems, including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, RSLogix 500, 5000, FactoryTalk Studio, and PanelBuilder 32. Use various communication protocols, including Ethernet IP, Remote I/O, DeviceNet, and DH+. PLC and robotic software programming (ABB, Fanuc, IAI). Active participation in communicating and suggesting company goals. Communicate and provide status reports to owners and management.
