As part of this group, you will predominantly be involved in architecting and designing data warehouse solutions. You will be a primary contributor in developing, testing and deploying key data warehouses, data marts and will be working with cutting edge technology. This role will prepare you for significant career growth.


 


We are looking for a hardworking individual with data analysis and quality assurance skills to join our Hamilton, NJ team. As a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst, you will work closely with our client (New Jersey Department of Human Services) on one of the largest Human Service data warehouses in the country. You will perform business and systems analysis, implement system changes and enhancements, perform quality assurance, design and create reports, and design and develop front-end web-based presentation layers to transform data into easily consumed knowledge. A strong preference is given to expertise in the State Medicaid program but also includes other State programs such as TANF, SNAP, General Assistance, Child Care and Addition Services. Primary Responsibilities:




  • Design and implement user-friendly reporting and other front end solutions using web authoring tools


  • Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle


  • Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review and user group meetings for quality assurance


  • Provide help desk support to Shared Data Warehouse users


  • Lead requirements sessions, presentations and training programs


  • Develop and mature processes and quality assurance procedures


  • Gather, analyze and manage business requirements, and work with the development team to design and test new solutions including some light web development


  • Generate and update metadata and data mapping documentation

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or HS diploma/GED with 7+ years of comparable experience

  • 3+ years experience working with Medicaid claim data or Clinical Healthcare data

  • 5+ years of business data analysis experience

  • 5+ years experience writing business requirements

  • Experience using a business intelligence/OLAP tool to design and build new reporting

  • 5+ years experience with SQL

  • 5+ years experience with relational databases

 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with formal testing and quality assurance procedures

  • Experience working with the public sector, preferably with New Jersey state health & human services programs

  • Experience with testing or process quality methodology

  • Exposure to the project lifecycle

  • Experience with data warehouses

  • Hands-on experience in Business Objects Designer, Web-Intelligence, SPSS, Cognos and/or ArcView
