Home Instead Senior Care is hiring an Account Receivable / Billing Specialist to oversee revenue management activities for our home care business. The role of the Account Receivable / Billing Specialist is a key role within our organization and helps drive our success, retention and account development.   

The Role:

As an Account Receivable / Billing Specialist for Home Instead Senior Care, you focus on partnering with our clients and referral providers to clearly understand their goals, challenges, and key business drivers. Significant activities include but are not limited to the following:

· Manages overall billing operations, including:

o Ensuring effective flow of accurate charges, rates and payment information

o Ensuring accurate claim submission to long term care insurance companies

accounts receivable
 
general office work
 
performing account reconciliations
 
Deposits and Reconciliation
 
Billing

          o Oversees aggressive follow-ups with accounts receivables (A/R), including preparation of collections of necessary

 o Monitors fee schedules, contracts, and insurance information in order to ensure fully allowed reimbursement

· Identifies and implements strategies to improve internal processes

· Incorporates and executes quality assurance processes related to ensure accurate customer billing activity

· Reviews and analyzes customer accounts, identifies trends and issues, and recommends solutions

· Collaborates with other team members to improve overall team environment

· Provides a high level of customer service to both families & clients by identifying and efficiently resolving insurance and other billing-related issues

 · To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
 
- reporting and communicating with owners on status of accounts, revenue, and receivable numbers 


Education and/or Experience:

 · One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 Skills and Attributes:

· Language Skills: good communicator both oral and written, problem solver, team player.
 
Professional office skills, uses time efficiently, accountability, integrity, friendly, professional, detail oriented, strong organizational skills, ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
 
· Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral form.
 
Ability to deal with problems involving collections, billing and payroll activities .
 
willingness to take direction and follow through as directed, ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks,

 · Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet, billing software, and the Microsoft 365 with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
 
Knowledge of basic office equipment should include: Internet and email, copy and fax machines, postage meter and telephone.

· Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A current CA driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required. Clean Criminal background, and ability to pass a drug screen.
