Looking for experience in IT? Information Technology Interns assist in collaborating with business areas to identify and assess business intelligence requirements. The intern would develop and maintain an understanding of business operations and ensure business user issues are resolved in a timely manner. In addition, keep management, project managers, team members and business stakeholders informed of critical issues, project status and changes.
Information Technology Interns at Universal Orlando are responsible for:
- Working with data management team to leverage appropriate data/information to build business intelligence solutions that enable business goals
- Responsible for learning and utilizing tools that build reports/dashboards, etc.
- Able to produce technical documentation that depicts the end solution
- Communicating with end users regarding deliverables
- Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities
- Performing other duties as assigned
To perform the role of an Information Technology Intern successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Consistent attendance is a job requirement
- Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA required
- Must be willing to work 20-30 hours per week; May through August 2015
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good problem solving skills
- Familiar with reporting tools such as Access and Excel
- Able to produce technical documentation
- Familiar with database technologies such as Access and SQL Server
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be actively enrolled for the Summer or Fall 2015 semester as a college Senior or graduate student
- Preferred majors include Computer Science Engineering
- Related coursework: Database, Systems Development Lifecycle, Programming
