Summer Host(ess), Bears Den

This position assists management in overseeing guest service and satisfaction in the Bears Den restaurant located at the Hershey Lodge.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $7.75.

This is a seasonal position with hours available to begin April/May 2015.

Job Functions:

• Functions include greeting guests upon arrival in the restaurant and seating guests in accordance with their requests and server rotation
• Completing opening and closing procedures, including cash control and settlement of guest charges
• Coordinating reservations and seating charts, answering telephones; overseeing service, safety, and sanitation to ensure quality
• Responding to guests' questions, requests and concerns.
• Performing take-out orders
• Completing daily and weekly cleaning sheets

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to work a minimum of 24 hours per week

Additional Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale computer and calculator.
• Proven employee/guest relations, communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Professional image representative of company image.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and handle cash.
• Strong interest and knowledge of the sporting world and its daily occurrences.
• Must be able to pass TIPS certification test within probation period.

Working Conditions:

• Physical requirements include standing (up to 100% of shift), walking, bending, stooping, hearing, speaking and finger dexterity.
• The ability to communicate effectively in a loud environment.
• Ability to work a flexible shift, varying between 11AM-5PM and 5PM-12:00pm including weekends and holidays.
