Media Buyer

Location: Atlanta, GA

ShelfGenie Franchise Systems, the premium provider of Glide-Out shelves in the country is seeking an experienced Media Buyer to play an essential role in the success of the Marketing Department and franchisees. This position is responsible for the management of the Media Buying Service, assists in the maintenance of marketing information within a proprietary CRM system, and is a day-to-day marketing contact for the franchisee system. In total, this area of responsibility may include up to approximately 2,000 transactions processed per month - including franchisee requests, buying, invoicing, CRM updates, negotiating, new program setup and signups, and creative requests.


Essential Responsibilities:

System-Wide Media Strategy and Planning

Work closely with Director of Media Buying to develop overall media mix strategy, recommendation, and media plan. This includes ongoing performance analysis (for brand and each franchise) and making recommendations for improvement (with new and existing media).
Work with team to create, manage, update franchisee quarterly Marketing Plans.
Develop new national and local programs that are cost effective and generate leads for the franchise system.
Assist Director of Media Buying in preparation of key meetings and by researching media performance and market trends, creating presentation materials, etc.
Assist in facilitation of marketing programs with 3rd party vendors.

Analysis of Media Performance

Ensure that franchisee Marketing Plans maintain an approved and/or compliant status.
Understand all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the CRM and franchise system as it relates to ROI.
Review and communicate media performance for the brand and per franchisee and provide new and existing solutions for optimization.


Media Buying (Print and Digital)

Research national, regional, and local media options with spontaneity and per request from franchisee system, as well as from inbound vendor solicitations.
Support franchisees on a continuous basis with respect to Marketing / Media Buying needs.
Negotiate "best in class" media rates with various local, regional and national media companies. A thorough understanding of pay-per-performance models (digital and traditional) is necessary.
Manage proprietary CRM data which may include, but is not limited to, entering / obtaining estimated costs, actual costs, invoice information, tear sheet information, vendor and / or advertising information, credits, co-op, and any specific information that would assist in the improvement of all internal and external processes - with accuracy.
Continuously provide up-to-date media pricing and zoning from all media program vendors.
Plan and place approved local, regional and national ads - including organization of order throughout the Media Buying funnel (inception to implementation).
Understand and implement call and/or click-tracking methodology.


Administrative Support and Quality Control of Media Buying and Execution

Assist in training franchisees on managing Marketing tools within our proprietary CRM, as it relates to Media Buying.
Assist team with general Account Management.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor's or Associate's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field.
2-4 years of Media Buying or related experience required (preferably in digital and traditional media).
Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheet and/or database software. CRM experience is a plus.
Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and across all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
Strong customer service orientation with demonstrated ability to handle client's concerns and resolve appropriately.
Resourcefulness; strong ability to look for answers and solutions.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
