About this job
We are currently looking for banquet servers here at the Seattle Aquarium.
A couple of notes about this position to consider-
- Pay: flat pay rate, non-tipping facility (weekly pay checks)
$15-$17 / hour depending on experience - Start Time:
- shifts generally have a start time around 5:00 pm
- end times vary event-to-event
- Scheduling:
- we aim to have the staff schedules out a month before with assigned shifts
- you would be scheduled based on when we have evening banquet events
- shifts can take place any day of the week, not just weekends
- must be available 3-4 evening shifts per week
- Catering Tasks at the Aquarium:
- Setting Up & Breaking Down- tables, chairs, pipe and drape, settings, buffets, etc. (this is a physically demanding job; must be able to move tables, push chair racks, carry large oval trays, etc.)
- During Events- serving plated dinners, replenishing buffets, passing appetizers, tray passing wine, bussing, etc.
