Role Summary
Work with a driven and highly motivated team to support the sales operations of NBC Universal, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. As an Account Executive at NBCUniversal, you will be responsible for generating revenue through the sale of commercial inventory to Direct Response agencies and advertisers.
Responsibilities
Negotiate and sell commercial inventory to Direct Response agencies and advertisers
Prepare and present all Direct Response sales opportunities
Achieve revenue goals
Establish, build and grow client contacts and relationships within the Direct Response marketplace
Work with pricing and planning teams to ensure that all inventory is sold and that pricing goals are met
Oversee the maintenance of Direct Response accounts
Train and nurture sales assistant / sales planner level Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 5 years of television advertising sales or related media sales experience.
Eligibility Requirements

Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
Must be willing to work in New York, NY and able to travel other locations as needed

Must be 18 years or older Desired Characteristics DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
Knowledge of media sales; media industry (including on-line and new media)
Understanding of the current Direct Response marketplace
Ability to develop and generate new business
Ability to sell value; ability to generate premium pricing
Established relationships with clients and agencies strongly desired
Proven experience in prospecting new clients, generating sales leads and closing the sale
Must have excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Self-starter; ability to work very independently, but also fit into a strong team environment
Ability to travel as necessary
Ability to effectively analyze numerical data
Excellent interpersonal and client relation skills
Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
