The Manager of IT Finanace Operations will work directly with the Senior Director to report on the monthly closing process and all related support. This position will be the key liaison to many areas on all IT Finance/Accounting matters. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and supervision to the staff on required tasks. This position will take on a leadership role for all Accounting/Finance Activities as well as provide support to departmental projects and other ad-hoc requests.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage annual budgets of approximately $100 million; includes operating and labor budget for 17 Corporate IT Departments and approximately 260 retail locations
  • Provide financial analysis reviewed by CIO, CFO, Finance, and IT Directors; includes monthly and quarterly actual to budget and prior period variance analysis
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close process for IT; includes $10 million annual Pre-paid amortization and $8 million monthly Accruals at month
  • Mainten monthly Capital projects in process account and fixed asset analysis for store purchases and Project analysis
  • Prepare the monthly financial review for Company’s IT projects, $32 million annual budget, and assist Project Managers in maintaining their project Labor and Purchases
  • Oversee Department Personnel for Accounts Payable and Month End close process
  • Oversee and Update the Sarbanes Oxley Controls Documentation and Procedures for the IT Accounting Procedures and Purchasing Process
  • Analyze, Research and provided accounting memos related to IT, Purchasing, and Payroll departments. Includes $10 million annual Pre-paid amortization and $8 million monthly Accruals
  • Prepare the monthly financial review for Company’s IT projects, $30 plus million annual budget, and assist Project Managers in maintaining their project Labor and Purchase

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, MBA or Masters in Accounting.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in public and/or corporate accounting environment.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills required, including the ability to use V-lookups and pivot tables
  • Experienced in the use of accounting software. Experience in PeopleSoft accounting software preferred
  • Ability to work independently, takes ownership of all assigned tasks, and maintains a consistent level of accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills
  • Proven ability to perform under deadlines and adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements
