Responsibilities

As part of the National Sales Operations team, the incumbent will be responsible for the national strategy and growth initiatives with our Tier 1 GPO Partners.    This well-rounded individual will lead a team of two in the development of demand generation activities, operational enhancements and reduction of program cost. This role will be instrumental in managing the delicate balance between increasing sales, enhancing the internal and external customer experience and improving profitability of the business.

The incumbent must have the ability to articulate results, measure performance and position the overall value of the program to multiple leadership teams.   Daily interaction will occur with Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, Area sales leadership and the GPO’s senior leadership teams.

GPO Program Growth

  • Collaborate across organization
  • Identify growth opportunities and operational enhancements to help increase sales, improve efficiencies or remove cost from the business.  Work with operational teams to develop business cases for target enhancements and/or initiatives, develop project plans and implement approved initiatives.    
  • Analyze program sales trends, understand key business targets and adjust / enhance initiatives to optimize growth potential.
  • Drive external GTM activities Identify vertical solutions and revenue generating programs.

Project Management

  • Maintain a detailed log of all projects and tasks assigned.
  • Create and present program overviews and initiative updates as needed.
  • Support Ops Reviews and provide content for Leadership presentations as needed.
  • Educate teams on the strategic direction to ensure they build and execute initiatives aligned with the overall GPO strategy.
  • Manage, coach and develop direct reports to build a high performing team.
  • Fill the role of the national Subject Matter
  • Provide regular updates and communications to cross functional teams and Area leadership.

Team Development

  • Assess strengths & weaknesses of the team and develop training plan to empower
  • Assess career goals & path for organization
  • Be an active participant in the overall leadership team for Business Sales Operations

 

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this position the candidate needs to have the ability to analyze sales trends, understand/implement operational processes and recommend improvements based on the financial impact to the business.  This individual needs to be comfortable managing relationships with both the GPO Partners and Area leadership teams and present on initiatives being supported by the team.

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience particularly in the areas of B2B and/or launching campaigns
  • Analytical background to understand sales trends using statistical data and modeling
  • B2B systems experience and knowledge
  • Prior direct leadership experience preferred
  • Prior direct sales & operations experience preferred
