Sodexo Campus Services is seeking an Operations Manager 1 to round out our outstanding management team at Emory & Henry College located in scenic Emory, VA ! The Operations Manager will oversee resident dining, catering and retail operations campus wide and will be responsible for ensuring that service expectations are exceeded and client program objectives are enhanced. This position is responsible for the management of 55+ employees.
Ideal candidate will have:
College/University high volume food service management experience;
Focus on customer service excellence;
Demonstrated experience providing strong leadership, including supervision, direction and training, to a diverse team of employees;
Focus on food and physical safety and sanitation;
Experience managing food and labor cost controls to meet targets;
High level of computer literacy and skill-set;
Strong understanding of financials and strong analytical thinking skills;
Great client relations and show a desire to be invested in the schools community.

Position Summary
Assumes General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
