Catering Manager/ Operations Manager
Sodexo is seeking a Catering Manager at Babson College. This is a prestigious, nationally recognized, private business college 20 miles west of Boston. With a student population of 4,000 and revenue volume of $1.5 million in catering and $2.5 million in retail food service. The retail food service has 3 locations on campus to include some national brands.
Responsible for Client event planning which includes managing events up to 1,000. also responsible for ordering, billing and communication with the Culinary staff, daily production & delivery/set up of events, and all event billing and client servicing. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple events daily and experienced in costing and pricing Catering menus, training & leading a Catering Staff, managing Labor control systems, and end-to-end Event execution. The Catering Manager is required to work in a team environment with fellow managers within the core Sodexo values of team spirit, service, and spirit of progress.
Position Summary
Manages all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and directly supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
