Job Description
Responsible and expected to perform multiple roles within the cardiac laboratory. Job expectations may include preparing procedure rooms, prepping patients for procedure, assisting physicians in procedure by circulating and scrubbing procedures, function in LPT/X-ray technologist role, acquire/measure/calculate hemodynamic date, perform blood work analysis, operate three dimensional mapping systems, operate intracardiac ultrasound, clean procedure rooms, restock, and prepare instruments for resterilization. May be asked to assist with clinical research by management or physicians.
Basic Qualifications:
RCIS or registry-eligible with formal invasive specialist training. Current credentialed RCIS/RCES or graduate from an accredited invasive specialist or electrophysiology program. Must be RCIS certified within six months of employment.
Other Qualifications:
Basic EKG interpretation skills, current BLS certification, and communication skills required.
License or Certification:
Must be RCIS certified within six months of employment. Current BLS certification required.
Benefit Eligible: Yes
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: 80 hours/pay period
Schedule Details: 8 hour days with occassional on call and possible overtime
Weekend Schedule: occassional Saturdays
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $23.72 per hour.
