Utility Drafter Supervisor - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description:
The position will provide guidance to the modeling team to help them interpret how pole attachments are placed on the pole and to determine various make ready remedies to attach fiber optic cable to the pole.

Direct drafters doing the modeling (10-15)
Manage flow of information from third parties
Perform installation assessments
Review designs and drawings
Resolve field questions on construction
Hold weekly training sessions with team

Work Environment:
7:30am - 5pm flexible on job flow

Qualifications:
5 years experience in field on the electrical pole and interaction with local utility companies
Knowledge of:
NESC and NEC standards
Overhead or underground electric distribution design and construction standards
make ready construction practices and economics and schedule impacts of new methods of design and construction

Performance Expectations:

Best vs. Avg: Energy company lineman. Cross country transmission. Best person would come from pole line construction industry from the electrical power industry familiar with construction devices that are on the pole, look at the pole and see how we can configure it to make the pole acceptable.

Additional Compensation:
Open to paying for relocation

This person does NOT need to have drafting experience - they just need to have the practical knowledge to understand if the designs would actually work in real life.
