Job Summary The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications from experienced individuals to fill an opening as Student Services Assistant. The period of appointment is expected to be August 1 through September 30, 2015 with the possibility of extension based on need and available funding. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities* Maintain files on ECE graduate students Process and audit graduations, and ensure accuracy of information in the DegreeWorks system Process grade change forms and I-contracts Manage ABET reports and outcomes data Prepare acceptance letters for newly admitted students Run probation reports and conduct routine audits Assist in preparing course schedules term by term, providing updates to campus course catalogs, and liaise with Registrar's office for room assignments or changes in schedule Assist students with course enrollment (directed study paperwork, add/drop forms, override requests) Attend campus open houses events and meet with prospective applicants, answering questions regarding the application process and the basics of our master's degree programs Routine maintenance of the department website Routine maintenance of the graduate and undergraduate course catalogs, as well as degree curriculums Prepare new course forms and course change forms Record minutes of the monthly faculty meetings, annual IAB meeting, and annual faculty retreat Prepare reports as needed (outcomes data, enrollment information, headcounts, graduation stats) Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications* At least one year of experience in general office responsibilities and procedures is desirable. Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management and organization. Demonstrated ability to pay strict attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated professional level of interpersonal skills. Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs.
