Job Description
As a Kids Activities Team Member, you'll play an important role in providing a fun, entertaining, engaging educational and safe environment for our Life Time Junior Members. You'll assist with organizing kids programming, activities, and games for children between the ages of three months and 11 years.
Duties & Responsibilities
Greet, acknowledge and interact with members and children in a friendly manner
Engage children in interactive activities that include story telling, organized arts and crafts, singing and games
Monitor and interact with children to maintain a safe and healthy environment with respect to other children, equipment, and surroundings
Clean and maintain the Child Center and program areas
Articulate knowledge of Kids Activities programs and services, policies and procedures
Promote Life Time Kids programs, products and services
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures within Kids Academy
Immediately report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse relating to youth
Working towards a high school diploma or GED
Six months to one year of experience working with children (preferred)
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
First Aid certification required within the first 60 days of hire
Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
Other Requirements
At Life Time, the safety of our junior member is a top priority. Applicants must complete all state or federal requirements prior to first day of directly working with children or within another specified timeframe. Requirements vary by state and may include, but are not limited to:
Physical
Tuberculosis test
All required vaccinations (or signed exemption)
Fingerprints taken by a local police department for a background check
Background checks required by state specific child care licensing laws in addition to a Life Time background check
Continuing education courses for continued employment in working with children All requirements must be completed at the cost of the applicant, unless prohibited by law.
