Primary Responsibilities:

Advise the UnitedHealth Care Medicare & Retirement Leadership around gaps and opportunities in the forecast and ultimately make the complicated less complicated
Provide design and oversight of complex actuarial projects
Lead actuarial efforts that affect new and existing business
Provide direction for the development of competitive analysis
Determine the impact of various actions on premiums and various product proposals
Mentor and develop your elite team
Synthesize complex information and present it succinctly to executive leaders
Analyze forecasts and trends
Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems
Collaborate and build relationships across segments and cross company and build relationships

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience 
8+ years of Actuarial experience
Extensive knowledge of concepts and methodologies in health care
Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:

ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) designation
