Senior / Travelling Resident Care Coordinator

At Sunrise, our Senior /Travelling Resident Care Coordinator and department leader for the Assisted Living and the Reminiscence (Alzheimer’s care) neighborhoods, is responsible for facilitating and leading the resident care teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:
- Championing the designated care manager concept throughout the neighborhoods, recruiting, hiring, training and coaching a high quality team
- Providing recognition and creating an engaged culture for your team members, residents and families will be an important part of your leadership role

Qualifications:
- A passion for working with seniors
- A minimum of five (5) year’s experience preferred in assisted living, long term care or hospital industries or experience/exposure to the memory impaired senior population
- College degree and management experience may be required per state requirements
- A minimum of three (3) year’s experience supervisory and management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management daily operations supervision, discipline and counseling
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations
- Competent in organizational, time management skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
- Ability to work weekends, evenings & flexible hours as needed for resident care/services, must be available to our customers at peak service times and as needed

- Ability to travel regularly for the position (generally Monday-Friday), travel expenses are reimbursed by Sunrise. Travel will generally be within NC and Richmond, VA, 100% of time unless otherwise indicated

- As applicable, all Sunrise team members who drive a Sunrise vehicle must review and sign the Driver job description
