Business Unit / Department Mission: Responsible for the accurate and efficient performance of services provided at the Business Center
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PROCESS RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned as necessary)
- Proficient at conducting transactions on the H-E-B POS System.
- Provide superior Customer Service with etiquette and positive attitude.
- Certified and knowledgeable of all requirements, policies and procedures including MSB and other financial services
- Knowledge of products and services and utilizes suggestive selling techniques.
- Capable of handling large sums of cash.
- Conducts, processes, and reconciles services and understands policies and procedures.
- Understands the Refund Policy and Procedures and is able to process returns and issue rain checks.
- Answers telephone appropriately, can effectively handle customer concerns and complaints.
- Adheres to company security/confidentiality guidelines.
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.
- Able to facilitate all services offered in the Business Center using all equipment and tools.
- Research discrepancies and assist Customers with inquiries.
- Understands recall process.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION PREFERRED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous checker experience preferred
- Exhibits great customer service skills
- Certified Alcohol Seller's Training (AST)
- Money Service Business (MSB) Certified
- Ability to remain composed in stressful situations
- PC skills to include Email and Intranet navigation
- Able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
- Ability to pay attention to details and to work precisely
- Ability to work with partners and customers and be attentive to their needs and concerns
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The essential physical requirements of the Business Center include:
- Occasionally: walks, reaches at overhead, reaches at shoulder, reaches at knee, reaches at floor, bends, stoops, squats, crouches, kneels, climbs stairs, pivots, twists, pushes/pulls with arms, pinches with fingers, and performs fine motor movements
- Constantly: stands, reaches at waist, and grasps
- Must be able to lift up to 42 lbs.
- Must be able to manage in excess of 50 lbs.
- It is the responsibility of the individual partner to never lift beyond his/her own safe limiting limit. If the partner feels that an item is too heavy to lift, push/pull, and/or carry, the partner must: (1) break the item down into lighter/smaller, more manageable components, which he/she is comfortable with safely handling; (2) ask for assistance from another partner; or (3) ask for assistance from a manager.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
- Occasionally exposed to loud noises
- This work environment is one in which it is fast paced and requires detailed work and precision.
- The environment also includes working with customers and being attentive to their needs.
