**Job Summary**
AECOM is seeking a Casting Yard Engineering Intern for Summer 2016 to be based at our Olmsted, IL location.
Position Description:
Intern will assist the Casting Yard Office with the development of 3D models and shop drawings for the precast and cast in place elements of the dam in coordination with other engineers and designers. Individual may also assist with various aspects of construction engineering, reporting, and field inspection.
**Minimum Requirements**
Education:
* Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited 4 year college or university and seeking a Bachelor's degree majoring in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering with the intent to attend the subsequent term as a full-time student.
* Must have completed a minimum of 90 prior to the start of the internship.
* Solid grasp of engineering fundamentals
* Familiarity with Autocad or Solidworks Software
* Professional attitude, willing to learn
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to climb stairs and/ or ladders equivalent to a five story building
* Willingness to work either day or night shift including overtime as needed, which may include weekends.
* Applicant must also be comfortable and capable of working on land or over water
* Applicant must also be comfortable and capable of working from a manlift up to 120 feet in height.
* Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.
**Preferred Qualifications**
*Previous internship with AECOM/URS Corporation.
