Scrap Yard Manager

Full processing Scrap yard currently seeking manager to oversee the day to day operations of scrap yard facility including overseeing the receiving, processing, inventorying and shipment of all scrap metals.

 Implement all shipping and receiving for the yard as planned

Scheduling with the RR, ordering drills, inspecting cars before loading

Loading outbound trucks, keep yard flowing

Maintain, supervise and schedule all services, upkeep and cleaning

Schedule repairs as needed and maintain records

Maintain equipment log for all equipment

Maintain safety program by holding meetings, cover training, implement and enforce yard safety

Schedule roll off pick ups

Maintain scrap quality; ensure loads are dumped in proper locations.

Oversee compliance with all local state and federal laws

Close interaction with commercial purchasing/sales team to recommend purchasing /sales volumes, customer satisfaction and quality standards.

Develop and maintain beneficial relationships with neighbors and local authorities

 QUALIFICATIONS

Scrap yard management experience (5 years)

Familiarity with Ferrous and Non Ferrous Scrap

Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance practices

Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
