JOB DESCRIPTION
We're currently seeking a Project Manager for a contract opportunity in Raleigh, NC.

DHHS/DPH seeks an experienced Project Manager with a technical project background to manage project delivery. This candidate will manage complex work efforts; may have advanced education;

Expected Skills: Able to project manage highly complex work efforts; have advanced education; have extensive industry experience. Position will manage the development of a database consisting of multiple existing data source feeds along with reporting. Position is responsible for project schedule, project documentation and deliverable conformance.This is inclusive of project phase passage. Position will be well-versed in software and database development on relevant platforms. Person is responsible for cost to budget while keeping stakeholders informed of potential changes. Work requires knowledge of project management plans, documentation types inclusive of communications plans, change management, procurement and risks analysis. Duties include providing coordination, leadership for the project and managing the project team in resolving issues and ensuring adherence to DHHS goals, privacy and security requirements and ensure project deliverables meets all business objectives.Person will build the work break down structure with team participation. Person should be well-versed in IT, database/application development and reporting.  Must be able to identify gaps, help develop needed workarounds and know technical limitations. Person provides consultation to the project team, sponsors and other stakeholders to keep the project moving forward. Position must develop a working knowledge of the client's business and strategic objectives and understand the agency and government procedures that might impact progress.  Having at least five (5)  years of software/database development experience is a plus. Must have excellent analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Summary Description (including, but not limited to):
1. Responsibility for the successful completion of end to end project work, including all work products
2. Oversight of projects comprised of multiple deliverables, including delegation and coordination of tasks
3. Responsibility for creation and management of the integrated project plan, execution of the project plan, project status, meetings, scope changes, risk and issue tracking/mitigation, coordination across project teams, etc.
4. Negotiations internal and external to the project teams
5. Managing scope, resources, timelines, costs/budget, quality, communication, and procurements to meet the goals of the State
6. Development and execution of training and education on standard project management requirements and methods, facilitating project governance and reporting, and creating models to improve business decisions
