About this job

Provide implementation functions for DISA networking and infrastructure projects. Apply in-depth knowledge of DISA/DoD IT network infrastructure to a variety of assignments through the application of technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Perform equipment installations, including network infrastructure build-out, mounting telecommunication hardware, cable/fiber installation, terminations and testing. Report installation status and completion with thoroughness and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with JDSU network test equipment
  • 2+ years of experience including network infrastructure build-out, mounting telecommunication hardware, cable/fiber installation, cable/fiber terminations and cable/fiber testing.
  • 2+ years of experience installing, network routers, servers, patch panels, cryptographic material, switches, firewalls, timing and synchronization and communications devices
  • Prior experience with Juniper/Cisco/Sycamore (Coriant)/Ciena 6500 production.
  • Must be familiar with ANSI/TIA standards
  • Preference for candidates that have worked in DOD/DISA IT network environment
  • Preference for candidates with background with KIV/KG encryption devices
  • Must have circuit transition expertise, understanding of protocols for testing and managing circuit downtime
  • Must have the ability to work independently or as a member of a team
  • Candidates may be based anywhere in the US, but must be open to at least 80% travel to CONUS and OCONU
  • Must be a US Citizen
