This individual will keep abreast of various training delivery techniques, business processes, products and systems in specific areas of expertise. This could encompass training of Claims or Customer Service individuals in the Training Delivery Operational functions and could include some aspects of the design process.Positions in this function are primarily responsible for the effective delivery of training programs across the organization. Keeps abreast of various training delivery techniques, business processes, products and systems. May also be involved in the design process. Positions delivering operations specific training, such as Claims or Customer Service, are in the Training Delivery-Operational function.Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for Inpatient and/or Outpatient risk adjustment training program for coding staff Risk adjustment Inpatient and/or Outpatient coding process controls consulting a/ implementation procedures Responsible for the effective delivery of training programs across the organization including ICD-10 training Keeps abreast of various training delivery techniques, business processes, products and systems Develop and deliver training program for nurses to obtain coding certification through AHIMA and/or AAPC Analyze data and develop training programs based on the data May also be involved in the design process Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed Works with less structured, more complex issues Serves as a resource to others

Requirements

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of Inpatient Coding experience 1+ years of risk adjustment with Inpatient Coding 1+ years of experience delivering presentations and/or facilitating training/workshops Must have a current Coding Certification (CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT)Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint (create decks importing data, charts, graphs, images, animations), Excel (sorting, filtering, vlook up, pivot table, charts and graphs, manipulate data; basic formulas), and Word (create and modify documents) Available to travel up to 10% of the time (domestic and international)Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or higher RHIA or RHIT CertificationCareers with Optum.
