Lead Teacher & Assistant Teacher - Full Time * - Full-time / Part-time

La Petite Academy in Birmingham, on Valleydale Road, is looking for Lead Teachers for our Toddler and Infant 2 classrooms as well as an Assistant Teacher for our Two's classroom! Come join our staff where we focus on developing children’s unique interests and abilities with hands-on active learning and opportunities for self-expression!

In this role you will be the leader of the classroom and will create fun yet educational lesson plans as well as keep the classroom clean and organized. You will also be responsible for ensuring the daily care of our children which may include changing diapers, potty training, and cleaning up big messes made by little people. You will also need to communicate with parents on a regular basis to ensure the best care for their child. If you aren’t afraid to be silly, get a little messy, and get lots of hugs… this job is for you!

We are looking for individuals who have:

• At least 6 months experience in a licensed childcare or daycare center
• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Coursework or a degree in early childhood education or child development or a CDA (required for Lead Teachers)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
