Transportation Operation Manager - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is looking for a Transportation Operation Manager for a Worldwide supplier to both tier 1 and 2 of automotive parts.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of transportation experince
Basic knowledge of distribution and manufacturing
Basic knowledge of freight payment
Understand LTL tariffs, FAKs and freight classification
Able to discuss rates and operational issues with a variety of carriers.
Must have a good working knowledge of all modes of transportation to include:
o Less than Truckload
o Truck load
o Parcel
o Ocean
o Domestic and International Air
Knowledge of how to fill out and submit freight claims
Understand freight budgets and be able to discuss them with F-M distribution centers
Proven analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
Ability to work independently
Excellent organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access
