Purpose

This position is responsible for the creative workflow process for assisting the Payroll Supervisor in providing Floor and Decor Outlets of America, Inc. (“F&D”) employees with exceptional customer service with respect to payroll and employee benefits.

Essential Functions

Assist Payroll Supervisor in:

  • Processing all F&D biweekly payroll, including bonus payments, commissions and payroll corrections, accurately and timely.
  • Setting up direct deposit for eligible participants.
  • Coordinating with payroll service on all compliance and reporting issues.
  • Submitting and maintaining the necessary payroll reports related to payroll corrections, record keeping, general ledger interface, employee cumulative data, and pay detail.
  • Processing all wage and benefits garnishments (child support, spousal support, tax levies, etc.), and other state and federal payroll administration timely and accurately.
  • Ensuring all new hires, benefits data sheets, status changes and terminations are processed timely and correctly by the hiring managers.
  • Maintaining required accurate, up-to-date employee data in the payroll system (e.g., new hires, payroll deductions, status changes, to name a few).
  • Providing support to all corporate and store employees with respect to payroll and timekeeping systems.
  • Responding to all payroll- and benefits-related inquiries and respond to customers (internal and external) within 24 hours.

  • Order and distribute all payroll-related materials related to new store openings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. College degree is preferred.
  • Two (2) to Three (3) years of payroll experience required.
  • Experience with ADP payroll products preferred:
  • PayExpert
  • EZ Labor Manager
  • HR/Benefit Solution
  • Strong knowledge of ADP reporting is a plus.
  • Payroll, Accounts Payable, Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Benefits experience is a plus.
  • Basic mathematics skills.
  • Knowledge of and basic accounting methods, principles and practices.
  • Understanding of payroll calculations and payroll tax laws.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.


Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
