Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 1

Sodexo is looking for an energetic Environmental Services / Custodial Services Operations Manager 1 for Sonora Regional Medical Center -Adeventist Health located in Sonora, Ca. Sonora Regional Medical Center is a 152-bed hospital in Sonora, California, which serves a large area in Calaveras, Tuolumne and portions of Mariposa counties.

 

This position will assist in leading the Day-to-Day operations of the Environmental Services department by directing all housekeeping & Linen operations, and Supervise all cleaning personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Must have prior contractor experience with proven track record in health care ES. This position requires a flexible schedule to cover Day & Evening shifts it may include some weekends and holidays.  Relocation is not offered at this time. 

 

The candidate must be/have:

• Flexible and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Able to lead and strong communication skills
• Results and safety driven
• Prior ES ops manager required in a health-care environment 
• Must have prior contractor experience with proven track record in Health-Care 

The "Hands-On" Manager primarily handles day to day operational functions and ensures unit level, corporate, employee relations, safety, training, and unit operating systems compliance. Managing in a strong union environment is a plus but not a requirement.Required: Good working knowledge of state & federal employment law; solid computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; good communication and presentation skills; detailed oriented, and well organized.
