Controller Job Summary: The Controller is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include the productions of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the companys reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. Essential Functions: Ensures the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets. Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports and cash control. Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc.

Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value. Respond to the VP of Finance as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate their financial needs. Establish and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and a system of controls over accounting transactions.

Process payroll in a timely manner ensuring corporate payroll tax compliance. Support month-end and year-end close process. Responsible for the collection on all accounts with the exception of Transportation. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Must perform the duties of Billing Specialist and Accounts Payable Specialist in their absence.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in accounting, preferably in a warehouse/distribution industry. Experience with creating and/or processing general ledger entries and financial reporting.

Demonstrated knowledge of accounting processes and cycles. Ability and experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint Working knowledge of warehouse operations and warehouse management systems. Knowledgeable in processing payroll.
