Cook / Food Prep

Canteen Services Inc., (Corrections Food Service) a major provider of food and commissary services to county jails and other at-risk population centers, is seeking qualified candidates for a Correctional Food Service position at the Muskegon County Jail location. Duties for the Cook include:

• Meal preparation and service
• Cleaning of facilities and equipment
• Other cook related duties are expected
• Apportion and serve food to inmates
• Work is performed alongside inmate workers

Requirements for the Cook include:

• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• MUST pass criminal (no felonies or misdemeanors) background check and drug screen
• Clean driving record
• Strong character & ability to perform well in a structured environment
• Previous large scale cooking experience helpful
