About this job
Responsible for delivering the highest quality customer service through proactively engaging all members and guests, and building strong relationships in the aquatics department. Assist members with account maintenance and articulate an extensive knowledge of Life Time Swim products and services. Anticipate member needs and interests, proactively promote and successfully sell programs, products and services appropriately.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Member Experience
* Greet and service members at the Swim Services Desk in a friendly and professional manner
* Attentively and promptly respond to member needs
* Initiate, develop and maintain positive relationships with all members and guests including proactive calls to members that have not shown for classes
* Answer and transfer phone calls in a timely and professional manner
* Proactively promote member needs and interests and recommend programs, products and services appropriately. Accomplish this task at the Swim Services desk, Aquatics office, walking the club and possibly via email and phone.
* Enter swim sales transactions at POS for members, including program, service and product payments
* Accurately schedule members for programs and services accordingly
* Appropriately respond to questions and messages regarding a member accounts
* Process member paperwork, including registrations, cancellations, confirmation emails, program audits, filing
Sales & Promotional
* Stay abreast of current club events and help maintain the myLT site and glass case
* Articulate extensive knowledge of Life Time Swim programs, products, services, policies and procedures to prospective and current members
* Actively promote all Life Time Swim programs, products, and services through relationship building with members and team members
Other
* Attend department leadership meetings
* Be available to regularly work at least twenty to forty hours per week, as scheduled by the Aquatics Department Head
* Function as an Aquatics Team Member when necessary, working all zones certified to work
Customer Service:
* Demonstrate positive attitude and actions through a display of courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity, and professionalism to internal and external customers.
Safety:
Safety responsibilities
* Comply with all company safety rules
* Use all required safety devices and personal protection equipment
* Report accidents and injuries to supervisor as soon as possible
* Participate in safety training and safety inspections
* Suggest methods of preventing hazards to safety committee
Education:
* High school diploma or GED
* College degree in business or related field preferred
Experience:
* 2-5 years experience in a customer service related position
* 2-5 years experience in a sales or retail related position preferred
Licenses / Certifications / Registration:
* CPR/AED certification required within the first thirty days after hire
* Life Time Swim certified within the first thirty days after hire
* Lifeguard/CPR-pro/First Aid certification preferred
