About this job
It is the Machine Builder's job to assemble, calibrate, adjust, troubleshoot and repair a variety of components, devices and systems according to pre-determined specifications using the appropriate test equipment. You will be working in an air conditioned area, in a clean room. No drinking or eating is allowed in the area. Safety glasses with side shield are required. You will be working with small parts and the ability to pass a soldering certification test and eye exam may be required.
Assemble, calibrate, adjust, troubleshoot and repair a variety of components, devices and systems according to pre-determined specifications using the appropriate test equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Assemble mechanical and/or electronic devices and assemblies referring to engineering specs, prints, layouts and/or verbal instructions.
II. Check, Adjust, Calibrate
* Check and adjust for balance, alignment, tension, spacing, physical dimensions, outputs and adjustable parameters and record non-adjustable parameters.
* Use a variety of manual and automated mechanical, electrical and optical checking equipment.
* Calculate raw data and adjust/calibrate assemblies to achieve the final specification as required
III. Troubleshoot /Repair Mechanical
* Check faulty assemblies using mechanical checking equipment.
* Analyze and diagnose findings to determine defects and method of repair.
* Disassembles, replaces parts, readjust and reassemble devices to complete repairs
Electronic.
* Perform electronic troubleshooting at the level consistent with the schooling required as indicated at the end of this job description.
IV. Work Direction
* May assist or instruct other Electro-Mechanical Builders or employees at lower labor grades.
V. Physical Requirements
* Handles lightweight parts and materials.
* Works seated or standing.
* Occasionally handles heavy fixtures.
* Good eyesight required.
You must have:
* Must be a US person (US citizen, US permanent resident or individual with protected status i.e. asylum/refugee) due to US export control laws and regulations.
* Minimum of High school diploma or G.E.D.
* Minimum of two or more classes of progressive electronics training from an accredited college or university. (Intro to Electronics I and II, etc.).

* Successful completion of Honeywell classroom and/or on the job certification or qualification programs is required once hired.
* Electronic Technician experience.
