Recruiter, Talent Acquisition

Summary:
The Recruiter will work with our “in-house” executive recruiting team to effectively source, pipeline, and recruit for unique, mission-critical, and business-driving roles. This is a strategic and important position with significant exposure to senior leadership. This is a business-facing and candidate-facing role that demands professionalism, poise, exceptional relationship-building skills, and excellent communication/negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional recruitment support including; candidate identification, resume screening, interviewing, assessing candidates, making recommendations and filling the staffing needs within Macy’s Private Brands.
  • Manage and perform all aspects of recruitment, i.e. screening interviews and preparing candidates for interviews.
  • Drive cost-effective recruiting strategies to fill job openings with a focus on diversity and business needs.
  • Create a sourcing, pipelining, and book-of-business strategy for high impact jobs.
  • Represent Macy’s professionally in the marketplace; establish a reputation as the ‘go-to’ contact for external talent interested in learning more about Macy’s merchant opportunities; stay current on market trends.
  • Develop new and creative methods to connect with candidates such as events, branding, etc.
  • Utilize non-conventional recruitment solutions, e.g. networking, LinkedIn, and other social networking groups to build a pipeline of top talent.
  • Maximize recruiting tools such as CRM (Avature), LinkedIn, and Taleo.
  • Establish, cultivate and maintain ongoing strong working relationships with the HRBP’s in order to understand the business unit/its recruitment needs and to create a partnership that ensures a seamless hiring process.
  • Attend Job Fairs, conferences and other networking events to build relationships, source candidates and develop an understanding of the employment market.
  • Embrace the TA service culture and provide high level of service to all clients (candidates, HRBPs, business function).

Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in full lifecycle corporate recruiting, focused on high-level lateral search; some agency experience preferred (fashion / retail experience is strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of recruiting tools such as Avature, LinkedIn, Taleo, Indeed, and other social media platforms.
  • Ability to build partnerships and platform with all levels of management.
  • Must have a recruitment mindset with an emphasis on building relationships and a bench for Macy’s.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and listening/interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
