OVERVIEW:
Working as Part-Time Manufacturing Packing, you will be responsible for packaging the various socket head fasteners that are manufactured.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Packaging company product using hand pack method with balance scale, using the bulk pack method requiring large platform scales, or setting and operating packing machines
o Meeting production packing standards set by the Supervisor or Coordinator
o Labeling boxes with correct product identification and lot control number
o Placing product into correct storage location or delivery to shipping dock as required
o Keeping stock storage location neat and orderly
o Operating material handling equipment such as handtrucks and electric stock moving equipment
o Maintaining safety awareness and accuracy
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
oExcellent written and oral communication skills
oBasic computer knowledge and math aptitude including decimals and fractions
o Possess an excellent safety record
o Desire to continuously improve manufacturing process
oAbility to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule
o Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
oAbility to safely lift up to 70lbs
oAbility to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Prior work experience in an assembly environment
