Front Desk Specialist

We are recruiting for a front desk specialist in a medical office. Monday – Friday 10:00 am-6:30 pm. Starting pay is $13-hour DOE. This is an excellent temp – hire opportunity to grow in a thriving, dynamic and fun locally owned company!

Job duties may include:
  • Open and closing duties
  • First point of contact for visitors and patients in person, by the telephone and email
  • Check daily schedule and prep for patients
  • Check phone for messages and return calls
  • Check in patients and check out patients
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Record products sold or borrowed in WebPT
  • Verify Insurance for New patients
  • Wash, Dry and Fold Laundry
  • Put away laundry
  • Change out rooms as needed
  • Answering inbound calls while providing excellent and positive customer care
  • Communicating successfully with co-workers and medical professionals
  • Operate office machines such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, and personal computers
  • Keep front office area clean and neat at all times
  • Entering Patient information into WebPT
  • Order Supplies
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize duties
  • Building successful relationships with patients
  • Other Duties as Assigned
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate maintains the following skills and characteristics:
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in a fast-paced office and front desk position
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in a customer-service oriented role
  • Prior medical receptionist or front desk experience is a plus
  • High level of comfort and proficiency with web-based and cloud-based software
  • Proficiency using printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, and other office equipment
  • Extensive knowledge in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Strong phone presence
  • Adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
  • Excellent mastery of communication, both written and verbal
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Professional appearance is a must
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM
  • Strong data entry
  • Tech Savvy
  • Deliver the highest level of customer service and satisfaction
Confidentiality: This position will be handling confidential personal data and information that belongs to PrideStaff’s clients and candidates.

Supervision: The employee will meet periodically as needed with their supervisor to go over pertinent goals and assignments. The employee does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Basic Working Conditions: The employee must have their own method of dependable transportation and work full time during normal business hours Monday through Friday. The employee must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. This position will be in an office environment. The employee will be required to have the ability to stoop, kneel and handle objects for filing and other duties assigned.
