HIRING: Environmental Field Services Assistant Project Manager
This position is reporting to Project Manager for Field Services Team of Southern CA.
Routine responsibilities and tasks include:
* Prepare scope, schedule and budget to respond to identified maintenance, repair, and construction opportunities, typically ranging in value from $500 to $25,000 each;
* Schedule, coordinate, and confirm completion of approved maintenance services and capital repair work;
* Anticipate, plan, coordinate, and manage project resources, including, but not limited to: labor, materials, subcontractors, permits, underground utility clearance, and job safety analysis;
* Manage and direct emergency/rapid response activities both during and outside of normal business hours;
* Provide remote (office/phone) and on-site oversight and monitoring of field assignments;
* Perform field inspections to diagnose and scope repair/construction opportunities;
* Write, compile, and review work-performed documentation (e.g., letter report, photo log, other attachments);
* Actively contribute to continuous quality improvement to refine and improve work and efficiency of the team, with focus to include, but not be limited to improved:
o Safe Work Practices;
o Bidding/Proposals;
o Timeliness of Work;
o Increasing Self-Performed Work;
o Quality and Efficiency of Work Completion Reports; and,
o Adopting new Technology to add Value/Efficiency.
* Provide leadership and foster comradery with Field Technicians, administrative personnel, subcontractors, and other managers/offices;
* Actively drive expansion of work with existing clients and development of new clients; and,
* Develop and enhance personal and team credentials through self-study, focused classes, and cross-training.
Qualifications
- College degree (Construction Management, Business, Science/Engineering);
- Minimum of 2 years of varied construction experience (SWPPP installation or inspections, excavation, grading, plumbing, electrical, concrete);
- At least 2 years of contracting experience in a service or construction field;
- Strong computer and technology experience including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and cloud-based technology;
- Effective verbal and written communication in both a field and professional setting;
- Training, experience, and commitment to safe work practices;
- Attention to detail; and,
- An entrepreneurial mindset.
OSHA 40-Hour HazWoper and stormwater compliance experience preferred. QSP/QSD, CISEC, CESSWI, CPESC certifications a plus.
