About this job
My client is a steel processing facility looking to hire a Slitter Operator, Slitter Assistant and Set Up Person
*Set up and operate steel slitting machines
*Operate forklift and overhead crane
*Data entry into computer
*Setup slitter heads
*Use Micrometer/Caliper to conduct measurements
*Feed steel coils into machine
*Ensure proper tracking of steel during processing
*Crop off tail ends of heavy gauge finished products
*Log all coils processed in coil log
*Observe/inspect material for any defects
*Lift sheets of steel up to 100+lbs
**3rd Shift: 11pm-7am (train on 1st 7am-3pm for about a month)
