POSITION PURPOSE
The Learning Program Senior Specialist serves as the lead in process and product expertise on all aspects of Home Depot's learning systems. The Senior Specialist engages in projects to enhance user experience, process, or systems as well as the implementation of complex learning programs. The Senior Specialist serves as a contact for Administrators and Specialists, and provides direction, delegates tasks, and responds to critical customer/associate issues. In addition to constantly moving the program forward, the Senior Specialist manages communication, on-site logistics, and key program partnerships. The Senior Specialist is also viewed as a peer leader and is responsible for developing and motivating other team members.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • 45% - Leads L&D process improvement projects and simplify field execution 
  • Coordinates learner travel and on-site logistics for instructor led training (ILT) events 
  • Oversees coordination of large-scale field events with all levels of the organization 
  • 25% - Lead contact for Knowledge Depot (KD) Administrators providing customer-focused direction, delegating tasks and handling critical customer issues Provides support for managing complex learning programs in the Knowledge Depot Learning Management System (builds courses, offerings, curricula and deploys to target audiences) 
  • 10% - Reclass and monitor expenses on various L&D budgets 
  • Serves as System Administrator for various Learning Systems and coordinates related process improvements 
  • 10% - Collect and analyze data to find opportunities to improve internal and external reporting 
  • Analyzes data (evaluations, forecasting, expense trends, training execution/programs) to make key decisions and recommendations to improve program, process and system health 
  • 10% - Motivates and inspires teammates and peers to look for continuous improvement opportunities 
  • Drives and motivates others to work as leanly as possible to increase productivity and control costs while maintaining high quality 
  • Drives key program partnerships with internal partners and vendors

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
