JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position involves work in the clerical section of the intake services division of Family Planning Prenatal Health, performing moderately complex clerical and cashiering duties including data entry into the computer, collecting monies, issuing receipts, billing services, comprehensive customer service duties and reports under the supervision of an Administrative Assitant or Senior RN Supervisor.

Work in the clinic area doing clerical intake for the Family Planning Prenatal Health Program, utilizing manual/electronic health records adhereing to all FDOH policies and procedures. Complete registration/intake and the routing of the client record to ensure meaningful use requirements are met. Verify Medicaid, third party payers and clinic eligibility status. Release health records upon request following the appropriate policies and procedures.

Performs timely and accurate documentation in the health record both manually and electronically including scanning per policy and procedures.

Collect fees, process charges, issue receipts, data entry, perform Medicaid and third party billing. Prepare fiscal reports, prepare monies and submit to supervisor daily for approval. Organizes and maintains records, filing systems, inventories. Proficiently utilizes computer systems and office equipment.

Provides optimal customer services, including answering the phone, routing calls appropriately, making appointments and giving general information to the public in the client preffered language. Assures that the client completes the client satisfaction survey at each encounter.

Maintain and submit required administrative forms accurately, legibly and within the required time frame. (EARS, People First, Emergency Response, Travel)

Attend in-services and trainings as required.

Performs other related services as required.
