Cement Terminal Labourer

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Actively participating in and operating the terminal Safety Program in compliance with Lafarge North America safety, environmental, quality and ethics policies.
• Compliance with Transalta’s (Utility’s) safety, environmental and quality policies. 
• Ship & receive cementitious products by truck, & rail.
• Utilizing the SAP system to load trucks, receive product, maintain inventories, input manual bills of lading, processing credit re-bills and complete procurement requirements.
• Ensure attention to detail, accurate data entry & customer service.
• Supervising and directing truck and railway carriers’ activities on site.
• Equipment maintenance such as compressors, bucket elevators, pumps, dust collectors, & valves.
• Mobile equipment operation.
• Housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

 Requirements:

• Self motivated.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• People management skills to develop and maintain working relationships.
• Good problem solving abilities.
• Computer literacy.
• Full range of mobility in upper & lower body.
• Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout workday 
• Good verbal & written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Valid Driver’s License & clean driving record
• High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent 
• Cement industry experience desirable.
