Food Prep / Cook - Upland

Kikka sushi is looking for hard working, dependable, team players that will provide great customer service in our new location in the Whole Food 365 store - 2153 W 16th St, Upland, CA 91784

Immediate Full Time openings are available however training will be at 3301 E. Imperial Hwy., Brea, CA 92823 until the store opens, currently scheduled for end of May 2018.

The Food Prep / Cook will make sushi in advance and per customer's request.  If you don’t know how to make sushi, no problem, we will teach you! 

The team member will also make ramen, hot foods, and other Asian foods, do prep work, and maintain a clean and neat station while helping customers in a fun, fast paced, exciting environment.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate great customer service skills
• Be comfortable working with and touching raw, meats, poultry, fish and shellfish
• Be familiar with sushi
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Be able to stand for long periods of time, which includes up to 8 hours a day, with designated break periods
• Be self-motivated and responsible
• Have excellent time management skills
• Demonstrate good communication skills
• Must be able to work all Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
• Flexible morning and evening availability
• Be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Be 18 years of age or older

Preferred experience:

• Working in quick service restaurants, supermarkets or fast paced retail environments
• Food handling experience and food handler certification
• ServSafe certified
