Job Description
The Level 1 Laser Printer and Toner Cartridge Assembly Technician is responsible for converting standard laser printers and toner cartridges to our clients-branded MICR printers and MICR cartridges
Job Responsibilities:
Performs production processes, involving Toner injection into cartridges that are ultimately responsible for fulfillment of orders for clients unique MICR products. (We will teach you the processes)
Specific responsibilities include dry toner cartridge/bottle filling and modification and conversion of laser printers. Backs up other employees in inventory control and shipping/receiving.
Knowledge of using hand tools and small equipment.
Familiarity with A/C and D/C electrical theory, digital electronics, Xerographic process, component assembly and disassembly, and laser printer repair desirable but not required.
Reviews existing processes and develops solutions to increase productivity or reduce costs.
Ensures compliance with approved production methods, inventory control, UPS and freight regulations, and quality standards.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of detailed tasks with a direct impact on customer satisfaction and the public image of the corporation.
Attention to detail is required. VERY IMPORTANT!
Works closely with procurement and accounting departments.
Accountable 100% for defects in materials or workmanship of products produced and for proper packaging of products shipped to customers.
Understand ISO procedures or know of its importance.
General upkeep of the entire Plant- may ask to do general cleaning and/or maintenance.
Requirements
High School diploma required. Associates degree in electronic office machine repair, photocopier technician training, electronics, or a related field is a plus.
Knowledge of how to properly drive and work with a fork lift also desired.
Experience with UPS shipping technology desired, but not required.
