A successful Senior Manager, Media will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred, and 7-12 years of media work experience in advertising client and/or agency side, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience developing, executing and evaluating media strategies to achieve business objective.
  • Detailed knowledge of all off-line media, media testing development and implementation of media plans.
  • Proven experience in dealing directly with senior executives. Ability to train and manage a team of mid to junior level personnel. Ability to prioritize and manage several complex projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a high proficiency in analytics related to media, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • NOTE: This job can be based either in NYC or Denver, CO.

The Senior Manager, Media develops and implements a comprehensive media strategy to meet the objectives of the business.  The scope of the role includes managing all Brand Media for DISH, which includes TV, Radio, Print, OOH, Events, etc.  The candidate will also lead the partnership with the Media Planning agency to develop and execute the media plans.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Lead Brand Media by determining media objectives, strategies and tactics designed to acquire new customers and improve brand metrics. Develop and execute new media innovation strategies and plans to account for changes in consumer viewership and media consumption trends.   
  • Lead management of the media planning agency, including managing deliverables, scope of work, and performance review. Maintain and manage working relationships with additional media vendor partners and suppliers.
  • Work with internal Analytics team to develop detailed media plans leveraging various internal and external data sources to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of media plans, and optimize spend.
  • Manages the execution of approved media plans, including maintaining accurate schedules, reporting and auditing the media planning agency. Manage all financial aspects of media budget and monthly media billing related directly to the planned executions per approved policies.
  • Lead evaluation of markets and plan performance, maintaining accurate records, identifying trends, and make recommendations to adjust future plans based on in-market performance.  Lead executive presentations to summarize performance and results.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional marketing teams (Direct Response, Digital, Partner Marketing, etc.) to coordinate and align overall media plan strategy and develop integrated marketing campaigns that are consistent with brand strategy.
