Tax Associates - Part-time

Seeking experienced seasonal Tax Preparers to join our team of professionals serving clients with diverse tax needs.

Under general supervision and in accordance with established company policies and procedures, the Tax Preparer performs a variety of activities related to income tax preparation, and the delivery of excellent customer service.  This position has access to and regularly works with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature; and regularly deals with diverse matters which require a working knowledge of the business.

 Tax Preparer duties include:

• Providing tax preparation, tax audit support and tax planning
• Presenting the Company’s value proposition to clients concerning various company products and services
• Building year round client relationships by delivering exceptional customer service by anticipating customer needs
• Researching tax related questions and issues, and responding to clients appropriately, and within a timely manner

• Handling customer questions, complaints, and product and service inquiries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism
• Consideration of the impact of all decisions/actions on the customer
• Increasing tax certification and expertise.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience completing individual tax returns
• Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing
• Demonstrated experience in Active Listening and Critical Thinking
• Experience in providing exceptional customer service
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Education & Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Enrolled Agent certification (Circular 230 designation) a plus
• Experience completing complex individual tax returns
• A PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) is required
