Telecom Drafter - Full-time / Part-time

Immediate needs for telecom drafters at their new downtown Chicago office. These candidates are going to be supporting the development of 5G network infrastructure by drafting underground utilities for clients.


Main Responsibilities
Create CAD drawings for telecom underground utility projects
Utilize AutoCAD software to create base maps by manipulating survey data
Establish the public right-of-way
Apply location of existing above and underground utilities from atlases/record drawings received from clients and other municipality processes
May assist in developing survey maps and layouts when necessary
Submit all utility drafts to the City of Chicago Office of Underground Coordination for approval
Will be responsible for completing around two basemap drawings in a week

MUST HAVE:
Associates or bachelors degree in drafting, civil engineering, or related field
Proficient in AutoCAD
Experience with drawing basemaps
Experience with civil drafting/design
Strong oral and written communication
Team player mentality - easy to work with others, be collaborative, participate in group discussions
